    Overview

For travelers who want the stories, not just the sights. This private tour is built around ancient Athens, with more time at the places where Western history began. Your English-speaking driver picks you up from your hotel, apartment or cruise ship in a comfortable Mercedes and starts at the Acropolis, with 90 minutes to explore the Parthenon, the Erechtheion and the Temple of Athena Nike.

Then step inside the Acropolis Museum to see the original sculptures, stand beneath the giant columns of the Temple of Olympian Zeus and visit the marble Panathenaic Stadium. In the Ancient Agora, walk where Socrates taught, see the Temple of Hephaestus and the Agora Museum in the Stoa of Attalos, then finish with a stroll through Plaka.

Drivers can't guide inside sites, so add a licensed guide for the Acropolis if you'd like expert commentary. Private, flexible and paced for people who love history.
