Bairrada Winery Route, full-day from Coimbra

Overview

On this experience, we explore the region’s wine heritage, travelling through historic vineyards and visiting traditional wineries and cellars. Learn about the production of Bairrada sparkling wine, often referred to as the Portuguese answer to Champagne, and discover the unique traditions that have shaped this renowned wine region.

Depending on the availability on the day of your tour, we visit two of the region's traditional wineries and cellars. The wineries mentioned are examples of possible visits and are not guaranteed, as the final selection depends on availability and opening schedules on the day.

If you would like to experience one of Bairrada’s most famous specialities, we can recommend a traditional restaurant serving Bairrada suckling pig (Leitão da Bairrada). Lunch is not included in the tour price.

Alternatively, we can recommend other local restaurants, depending on your preferences and availability.
