Candelaria, Santa Cruz, Puerto de la Cruz

The visit to the center of Santa Cruz de Tenerife allows us to discover some of the most emblematic places in the city. We will walk through García Sanabria Park, enjoying its gardens and green spaces; we will visit Plaza Weiler, Plaza del Príncipe and Plaza de España, one of the most important points in the capital; and we will learn about the history of the Tigre Canyon. We will also visit the traditional Mercado de Nuestra Señora de África, full of local products, and walk down the lively Castillo street, ideal for strolling and shopping.

We will make a stop for lunch at one of the traditional Guachinches of Tenerife, La Huerta de Ana y Eva, where we can enjoy typical dishes of traditional Canarian cuisine and their good wines.

The visit to the Puerto de la Cruz center begins at the pier, a place with maritime tradition and beautiful views of the sea. From there, we walked through the streets of the historic center, where we can admire the traditional Canarian architecture, especially the old houses with their characteristic carved wooden balconies. During the tour we discovered charming squares, traditional shops, and historic buildings, until we reached the San Telmo area, by the sea, where we enjoyed its views, its boardwalk, and the cozy atmosphere of the city. It is an ideal tour to know the history, culture, and seafaring essence of Puerto de la Cruz.
