Overview

Once you are picked up at your hotel, get ready for a half-day of exploring. Cruise along the forested floor of a massive volcanic crater as you explore Sete Cidades with an experienced local guide. What you will do

Caldeira das Sete Cidades
Explore on a 4x4 vehicle the nature that surrounds the crater of Sete Cidades. according to the legend – seven towns, founded by expelled Spanish bishops, sank. With a perimeter of 12 km and a diameter of 7 km, this caldera formed from a crater that collapsed during a gigantic prehistoric eruption, its present shape having been created during a tremendous eruption in 1445.

Meeting point

Pickup: Pick-up is free and included if in Ponta Delgada city or Nearby cities (Lagoa and Ribaira Grande) - extra fees may apllie to other Locations. We will Pick up at the cruse Ship Termial. We will be at 9 AM (other pick-up time can be set) ready for pick-up at the pier inside the Terminal on the ground level in front of the arrival gate with the Lead traveler name on a sign. Also If for any reason the ship docks at the commercial dock, will be at the Pier in front of the ship with the lead traveler name on a sign. (Please do not take any shuttle).
