What you will do

Hydra Town
Escape to Hydra, one of Greece's most beautiful islands, on a full-day trip with a comfortable high-speed ferry journey from Piraeus. Meet your Ammon Express host at Gate E8 at 8:30 AM and board a Magic Sea Ferries vessel for a scenic crossing of the Saronic Gulf. With six full hours on Hydra, you'll have plenty of time to discover the island's history, culture and coastline.
Begin with a one-hour guided walk through Hydra Town, passing elegant mansions, stone alleys and jasmine-scented courtyards. Hear stories of the island's maritime heritage, its role in the Greek War of Independence and artists such as Leonard Cohen who found inspiration here. Discover local traditions and taste traditional almond sweets (amygdalota).

After the guided walk, explore Hydra at your own pace. Stroll around the picturesque harbor, browse local shops, relax at a waterfront café or enjoy a refreshing swim at Spilia. You can also visit peaceful Vlichos Beach for clear waters, seaside views and a leisurely lunch.
Please note that transportation to Vlichos Beach, sunbeds and umbrellas are optional and cost extra. Lunch, drinks and personal expenses are not included.
Your ten-hour excursion includes round-trip high-speed ferry tickets, excluding a mandatory sea transfer supplement payable at the Piraeus meeting point before boarding: €25 per person from October 1 to May 31 or €30 from June 1 to September 30 (cash or card). After six hours on Hydra, return by ferry to Piraeus with wonderful memories of Greek island life.
