Most cruisers visiting Le Havre spend their port day in one of two ways: they book the ship's overpriced excursion, or spend the first hour figuring out trains and taxis. This shuttle is the third option.

Étretat is 45 minutes from the cruise terminal. The chalk cliffs — the arches, the needle, the views that Monet painted and Maupassant wrote about — are among northern France's most spectacular natural sights. The village below is exactly the kind of small, unhurried Norman town most ship excursions never have time for.

Here's how it works: your driver meets you at the terminal at 10:30 AM with a name sign. He drives you to Étretat, points out the cliff path and pickup spot, and gives you his number. Explore at your own pace — no guide unless you want one. Walk as far as you like. Eat when you feel like it. Take the photographs you actually want.

At 3:00 PM, your driver is waiting at the same spot. Forty-five minutes back to the terminal. Done.
