What you will do

Discover the art of Venetian glass beadmaking in a hands-on workshop with master artisan Moulaye Niang. In his Venice studio, you'll learn how glass rods are heated over a flame and shaped into colourful, individually crafted beads.
During this one-hour experience, you'll discover the history and cultural significance of Venetian glass beads before trying the technique yourself. With Moulaye's guidance, you'll work with molten glass, experiment with colours and shapes, and personalise your own creations. Whether you're new to glassmaking or interested in traditional crafts, this workshop offers a chance to learn directly from an experienced artisan and appreciate the skill behind each bead.
At the end of the session, you'll have created your own handmade glass beads to keep as a unique memento of your time in Venice. The beads need to be fired after the workshop and will be ready for collection the following day. Shipping can be arranged at an additional cost.
