Overview

Rome keeps some of its most gripping history underground, and this tour takes you straight to it with an expert guide and round-trip transport from the city center. You start among the bone-lined chapels of the Capuchin Crypts, where the remains of generations of friars form haunting displays, then ride out along the ancient Appian Way, passing the Aurelian Walls and the Circus Maximus. Meet your guide in central Rome in front of the Fontana del Tritone. After a short introduction, your small group sets off for a day beneath the city.
