Musée d’Orsay Private Tour with an art expert guide

The Musée d’Orsay houses nearly 3000 masterpieces made by world-renowned artists. Together with your guide, explore the individual influences and styles of masters such as Manet, Monet, Renoir, Degas, Morisot, Cézanne, and Van Gogh. Miriam, one of our local guides, possesses extensive knowledge of the museum and its treasures. She says, ‘One of my greatest passions is explaining the background of the Impressionist movement and art in the Musée d’Orsay. The history is fascinating and knowing it helps you truly understand the motivations of these great artists.’

Beyond the paintings, you’ll also find a vast collection of sculptures, furniture, and photographs from the 19th and 20th centuries in the museum. Even the building itself is a work of art, so be sure to explore it as well. ‘The Musée d’Orsay is a must-see for lovers of Impressionism,’ comments Miriam. She recommends, ‘At the end of the tour, stop by the clock windows on the fifth floor for a spectacular view of the city.”
